So 666 is NOT the number of the Beast!

616 happens to be my home address.

Maybe that’s why no one responds to “Dopefest at my place!”

[QUOTE=Captain Carrot]
Whoa. Is that a coincidence? I always thought it was just 101-0011-010, all patterny and stuff. 1010011010, care to step in and explicate?

Binary.

or is it? Huh, I always thought it was binary.

Old news. Bibles have footnoted the alternative number for ages.

[QUOTE=David Simmons]
666 can result in some people doing strange things. A friend of mine worked in a group that bought a retirement party for one of their coworkers. I think it was a toaster or something along those lines. At the retirement party, when the gift was given him he noticed that the Serial No. ended in 666 and refused to accept it. The party atmosphere turned a tad strained.

I once wrote a check for somebody that was $66.66. They refused to accept it. Given that it was my money, I then wrote one for $66.65… which was accepted, with no complaints.

Er… :rolleyes:

The zip codes in my city, Topeka, Kansas, all begin with 666. There’s 66606, 66603, 66604, 66614, and many more.

Fred Phelps happens to live in Topeka Kansas. Coincidence? I think not.
