A son called the Englewood, NJ police department Saturday morning and asked them to do a wellness check on his parents, who were not answering the phone. No answer at the door, the copes got in through the garage, and found the couple stabbed to death.
The family car was located at the local ShopRite. The police suspected the couple’s other son of commiting the double homicide. They closed off the store, brought in the dogs, and had the store searched. Nothing.
They then went thought the neighborhood with the dogs, telling everyone to stay inside and lock their doors. I took their advice.
The suspected murderer was caught when he went to retrieve the car from the parking lot. Not only a murderer, but incredibly stupid.
It did make for an interesting Saturday afternoon in my town.
