Where in the World is Carmen Pauliego?
I think it should be Paul in Nebraska–just to mess with our heads.
Sorry to hear of your troubles. Good luck with the search.
I went to the office today. 14 got axed with two-days notice (I am one of them) and another 11 with a month or so. (This has to do with class ending dates.) It seems they fired most of the Westerners over age 50.
Then I did a Bad Thing. I got in the car, went to the office to do out-processing and then to the pharmacy to load up on things. I skipped my class. That was unprofessional and gave none of the pleasure I hoped it would.
Perhaps you should check your pharmacy shopping list?
Well, as they say in the UK, Keep your pecker up!
Damn.
So, soon you’re going to be Paul in Poughkeepsie?
Please PLEASE make it this. I’d recommend “…Paul Sandiego” but that’s just confusing, you know?
Very, very sorry to hear that, Paul. Did you want to remain there, if you had your druthers? If so, how’s the job market for folks like you?
Sorry, Paul. Hope you get something soon! Just tell them to all go to hell–you’re going to Texas!
I’d sooner be Paul in the Dole Queue than Paul in Rwanda.
Are you going to make it until school starts up again?
That could entail him being Paul in Phnom Penh.
Could be worse; he could end up as Paul in Pyongyang…
I vote for Paul in Ulan Bator.
Paul in Palau?
Pauliday in Cambodia?
Paul in Paul might conjure the wrong image.
I hear South Korea is hiring.
Bum luck though; I hope it turns out for the best.
Just about three years AF (after firing) here.
Still have nightmares of the twenty-five years working there.
I make half as much now, work half as hard.
Ever consider driving an eighteen wheeler?
I know an American who went to South Korea to teach at a summer camp for a season. He said he was by far the oldest one there, and he was in his early 30s. Said they actually fired one teacher on the spot when he showed up and they realized the guy was in his 50s!
