Leia and Han could always have kids. Twins even. They’d be adults by now, about the same age as Anakin. With Han as their father, and with Uncle Luke training him as a Jedi, the boy might get a little cocky with a chip on his shoulder

Assume that in order to keep balance within the force, each person must have an opposite.

Yoda tends to be a “Force Shaman”, and until now, we have no idea who his opposite is.

This entity resurrects the Emperor and Darth in an attempt to take one last swipe at the Alliance.

Plausible? Not to a die hard fan who refuses to believe any Star Wars movies exists after V, or before IV.

If every Jedi master had to have an opposite, I’d certainly say Yoda’s was Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine.

The fastest way from Point A to Point B is make him a clone. Another thought would be for someone other than Anakin to take up the Darth Vader mantle. Perhaps the original Vader’s grandson is seduced by the Dark Side and goes on an evil quest to become the next Vader.

However, a clone wouldn’t need the biosuit that Vader wears. Vader Prime wears it because of the injuries he sustained in his duel with Obi-Wan in Ep. 3. A newborn baby cloned from his DNA wouldn’t be born crippled unless his DNA was altered or something.

Why not just have Luke turn to the dark side and pick up where dad left off? That seems to me to be the easiest story to write. He uses the Vader costume as more of a utility than a necessity.

Because for him to turn, it’d have to be an even greater temptation than everything he fought against in the first three films.

It would totally undermine the trilogy.

If they retcon his death, the movie will become the most hated of them all…it was the ENTIRE point of the first six films.

Everybody knows that Vader’s suit was imbued with Anakin’s Dark Side. When the Death Star 2.0 Beta blew up, his lava suit was impervious to the explosion, due to the Dark Side keeping it intact—found on Endor’s moon by Ewoks, smouldering and breathing laboriously. They scratched their hideiuos heads, said Ig chop, nub nub and tried to roast it over a spit. yet, although Anakin himself was incinerated, his Dark Side operates his suit, like an empty, jangly puppet that just walks around remote-choking Ewoks.
