So, do I have this right with the movie Basic? *SPOILERS*

OK. Just saw basic last night. From here on in, my post could be a big spoiler.

So, basically, everyone in the movie except the Captain (the hottie), the drug dealing Colonel, the crooked Doctor, the gay Lieutenant and the rangers that were killed (Mueller?), are all part of some “Top Secret Section 8” team? The whole movie was just a top secret undercover sting to uproot the drug dealers from the Army? They are all supposed to be good guys? (Pike, Dunbar, Jackson’s character, etc?) Travolta’s charcter is really some top secret, “undercover” Ranger Colonel?

I swear, I watched the last 5 minutes of the movie 3 times to try to make sense of it and thats the best I can do. If so, man, is that ever a far fetched the way they went about it.

Yep, that was the plot and yep, it was totally implausible.
Not to even mention the horrible inaccuracies wrt to the military that littered the movie.

Implausible is one way to put it. Did the writer even try to make it somewhat believable?

There are more holes in it than 5 year old underwear.
