If a federal court overturns a state conviction, it’s too late anyway. And how are people supposed to react? Be depressed, because they know this won’t stick? Why bother with the trial, then?
Then what’s the point of any of this? Discussing, campaigning, donating, voting? There’s no other possible outcome than a Trump victory under any circumstance. Even if Biden got a ceasefire tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter. Israel could break it on a whim at any time before August, it doesn’t bring back anyone already dead, and even if somehow every single “extremist” were completely satisfied, right wing agitators could just create unrest like they did with the Floyd protests.

Sure, but since we’re talking about those specifically “on the left,” if Hamas were the ones to make the first move, it’d still be theoretically possible to keep their (the American voters’) favor with a properly measured response by Israel.
