Little late in the game here, but it sounded to me like her mom would have rather you spent the night on the couch or in the guest room…
All I have to say is that if you’re going to get yourself worked up into a lather, or if the parents are going to be somewhat more cautious, then you might as well at least be getting some!
That is all.
I picked my son up from an overnight bonfire party yesterday morning, and found him sound asleep in a tent with another guy and a girl. Asked him if the redhead was a girl, he said yes, and I left it at that.
I’m not telling his mom about it, either.
I do not understand what’s supposed to be wrong with teenagers sleeping in the presence of members of the opposite sex. Are we living in the 1950’s and nobody told me?
I don’t think anything is wrong with it per se. However, her angry daddy with the shotgun might think differently.
For what it’s worth, when I visited my (female) friend at Emerson, I crashed for one night on her dorm lounge floor next to her, and another night on another female friend’s hotel floor. My parents thought nothing of it, and neither did anyone else.
And yes, I’m straight. Just so you know that for a sufficiently paranoid parent, there would be “reason” to be concerned.
