Allright! I’m starting my new job today, too… may both of us have jobs that never bring us to that Pit thread except to commiserate!
I shift those to colleagues that I know happen to be searching. I get lots of offers for places I’m not interested in or areas outside my interests and expertise, and zap them to people who may fit.

As a contractor, I also get lots of job inquiries that don’t work for me. I pass them on too. You never know when you might be able to help an ex-coworker or friend land a job.
Congrats Nava! Yep, I have a number of former friends who were laid off with me that are still looking, so I try to funnel leads to them as best I can. Fortunately there are only a few left who are still looking.
I’m going to pile on to report that I’ve been a total bundle of nerves this week since I had two competing job offers. One from the company that laid me off, and one from the partner that I used to manage. So, after 13 years, I decided to change to the partner as they really wanted me and changed the offer to reflect that. Should be a great gig for the next decade.
