I got a tattoo. I listened to the advice of several dopers, and waited until I got one I really liked. Funnily enough, it’s nothing at all like I first envisioned. Instead of a gaelic design, it’s more of a Maori design. I now have an armband around my upper arm. My wife digs it.

And I love it. It’s like an extension of my personality.

I would love to show y’all what it looked like, if I had a way.

Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone who responded to my first thread, and brag that I’m now tattooed.

By the way, it didn’t hurt anywhere near as bad as I thought it would. I almost fainted right before he put the needle to my skin, but was pleased that it didn’t hurt that much. I’m already planning on getting a second one.

I have given serious thought to getting the periodic table tattooed across my chest, just for a bit of extra help in Chem. exams.

yes they are – i waited till i was 22 to get my first one---- got my second one 8 months later-- planning to get a third one this summer :slight_smile:
