Never tried that, but the breaking point for me was when I couldn’t build a basic circuit I needed to build. Nothing fancy. They simply didn’t have the bits. :o

I remember when radio stations would sign-off around midnight or so, and then sign-on again in the early morning.

I also remember getting up early in the morning and seeing the test-pattern on our (black and white) tv, and the next thing to come on (after the national anthem) would be the Farm Report.

Do they still have Weekly Reader in schools?
