So I just submitted a story to NPR's "Three Minute Fiction"

The rules for this round are that the story has to start and end with these pre-written sentences, and you fill in the rest.

"Some people swore that the house was haunted. "

“Nothing was ever the same again after that.”

Anybody else going to try? The contest expires in two weeks, plenty of time for you to write 600 words.

The hardest part was coming up with a decent title.

I heard about this on NPR earlier. I haven’t heard any previous broadcasts of Three Minute Fiction before, but it sounds interesting. I’m thinking about writing and submitting an entry–could be fun.

Folks, we’re running something similar on the SDMB right now:

Check it out!

I’m going to take a shot at it. I just hope I don’t get so swamped over the next two weeks that I have to set it aside.

And the results, as they arrive, are here in the Anthology Thread.
