Sonoran Lizard King, wishing you the best of luck in your job search as well. You seem to have a decent attitude about it, despite the fact that pounding the pavement can be frustrating. Surely, your effort will pay off.
I’m going to spend some time, since I have it, simplifying and preparing to start over in another place. Hopefully, I can make a little money selling a good portion of our stuff (not *great *stuff, but one person’s junk…right? We have more than we need, frankly, and too much stuff just weighs you down.
It’s really kind of amazing that I didn’t take a turn for the worse emotionally. During winter and much of last year, I was tremendously depressed. I was stressed, worried and very anxious before this happened, but since it’s happened, I’ve kind of leveled off. I’m still anxious about the next few months, but it doesn’t feel quite so acute and hopeless.
There’s a light at the end of this tunnel. I don’t know know how long it is, but I’m pretty sure we’ll emerge eventually. Thank goodness we can and are reaching out to people who want to help us make a better life for ourselves.
