I’m in the Miami area on vacation and was just woken up by the god awful cellphone alert of a flash flood warning. Apparently we’ve already received 4” of rain tonight with another 3” expected.

7 freaking inches of rain! Stay dry Floridians.

Last time I was in Miami it rained several inches every single day.

I was once awoken with a cell phone flash flood warning at 2:00 am in Pueblo CO. I was on the 5th floor of a hotel room downtown.

Thanks for waking me up though. I might have been camping in a dry riverbed, I guess. I"m sure the other 100,000 people who were woken up for no good reason at 2 am were happy too.

We are on the 15th floor, but we actually ended up with 12” of rain. The underground parking flooded to about the axles of the cars, luckily we were parked on top. Here is a video of someone kayakingat the nearby racing stables.
