And just to follow through - thanks for all the tips/advice all. I found a place and mailed the deposit today. I’ll be in Decatur, the rent was within my range (and is actually lower than I pay here, though not by much).
I expect to hit Atlanta sometime around June 21, with a start date for the new job July 1. 
I get to come home, y’all (ok, close at least )
