...so I've been asleep for the last seven days

…hello everybody! So I’ve been asleep for the last seven days, so I thought I would catch up on what has been happening in the US world of Politics & Elections. Has it been a quiet week?

But seriously. I’ve lost track. This week has been madness. Something happened to Brad Pascale? Trumps taxes? That debate? Proud Boys stand up? The Red Wedding at the Whitehouse? Are the fires still happening? Any other natural disasters happening under the radar? Can we document what may have been the most consequential week in American political history? Are there any big stories that we’ve already forgotten about?

Well, I don’t know about any Red Wedding at the White House, or White Wedding at the Red House, but other than that, yeah, all of the above.

Oh yeah, there was something this morning about Hope Hicks not feeling well, and then Trump not feeling well, then a bunch of other White House staff and some senators (all Republican of course) not feeling well . . . I think there was a thread or two or three about it around here somewhere.

Oh, just wait for next week, Mister!

Oh, I almost forgot. Trump also nominated someone (conservative of course) to a vacant seat that was unexpectedly discovered at the Supreme Court.

Infrastructure Week II: Die Harder

Melania hates Christmas.

If you believe in supernatural forces, this would be a good time to pray for a grisly viral demise of a certain someone. It would comedic justice, really.

Aside from that, in summary, more GOP treason.

And that nomination ceremony may be where everyone got the 'rona. Strike RBG down and you only make her stronger!

Dems might have just lost their bid for control of the Senate (we’ll see how things turn out) — in an until-now-close race, their NC candidate admitted to sexting someone not his spouse.

Love it!

If it didn’t matter to Republicans in 2016 that the soon-to-be first lady was a Communist prostitute, I think we can ignore someone who just screws his co-worker.

As noted on twitter this morning, is it too much to ask Dem candidates to keep it in their pants until Nov. 4?

We’re on a razor’s edge here, the guy is in a toss up race in a conservative state and he wants to monkey around on his wife? Right now? Christ.

WE can, but probably not some previously on-the-fence NC voters. Remember, “it’s okay if a Republican does it.” :frowning:

Small government! Unless it’s about your sexuality. Personal liberty! Unless it’s politically expedient. Moral code! Unless he’s one of yours.

NC guy may be the one cheating, but we’re all getting fucked by the GOP.

Too bad NC guy didn’t just sext his daughter. Trump would’ve approved.

Melania learned that her re-negotiated pre-nup might be jack squat given trumpy’s finances.

If you think last week was crazy, just wait - next week is October Surprise: Electric Boogaloo.

There’s a war going on in some place no one can pronounce or spell. Must not be very important.
