So, to fulfill an obligation for a website I frequent (goodies!) I ordered the one-week sample of TrimLife, with no original intention of ever trying it.
Now, I am significantly overweight (5’6" at 205 lbs) and I think my goal weight is around 140, still curvy but not thin. A couple of years ago, I lost about 65 lbs, going down from 240 to 175 over about a year and a half, but have since gained a bit back.
Ok, so I didn’t read the fine print that said with my sample order, they would automatically enroll me in the auto-ship program, sending me a full bottle of the supplements two weeks later. That’s been cancelled, but my question is whether I should send the bottles back, or give it a try.
I know that supplements can only help coupled with a healthy exercise regimen and good eating habits. I am NOT soliciting weight loss advice per se, as my doctor and I have already discussed many options and continue to do so. All I want to know is if anyone has tried TrimLife and if they think it can help, or if it’s awful and I should send it back NOW.
Without checking out the ingredients list, I’m guessing that it’s probably not worth much. There are probably some diuretics and stimulants to make you think that it works.
They all say this. I wonder what would happen if you started exercising and eating right and didn’t take the supplements? :dubious:
Oh, no, I know that no weight loss program will ever really work without a healthy diet and exercise regimen. I’m not saying any supplement can be a miracle pill or anything. I know that their only use is really as a boost, not the cure-all.
I actually eat a well balanced diet, full of all that stuff that’s good for me, and moderating bad stuff (but don’t ask me to give up the occasional chocolate bar or potato chip!). I am fairly active, and trying currently to fit myself into an exercise regimen that doean’t tax my hips (long story, but they hurt. A lot.) Growing up I was always involved in team sports, martial arts, and dance, but still have always been a bit overweight. It’s been a lifelong struggle. I’ll try anything once, really, except things my gut tells me are unhealthy, ie Atkins.
I don’t see anything awful on the ingredient list for this particular supplement that screams “DON’T SWALLOW ME OR YOU’LL BE SORRY!” All I am wondering is if anyone has tried it and found that it helped them, or if anyone who’s used it thought it was crap.
