put up large sign saying “if you’ve been rented this house you have been scammed. go file report with police. any attempt to interact with or disturb true homeowner will be considered trespassing and charges filed.” Find an attorney in town tell him about ask if he would like you to add “shyster and mcshyster are currently taking cases against the fraud perpetrator, you can contact them at xxx xxxx” seeing that may encourage lawsuits against your wtf neighbors. make sure you have regular no trespassing signs clearly visible and if people get pushy call the police and file charges, they will most likely press charges against him to help get out of their own charges.
Or get 4 big irish wolfhounds, name them war death pestilence and famine. I’ve got a friend who did that and people pretty much leave her alone,

Is he trying to duck out of paying property taxes on his own place? Olive mentioned you have other legal issues with this guy - I really think you should get your lawyer to add this to the pile.
So he can hide behind his blinds and peek out when the “Enforcers” come to find him at Olive’s house. It’s always fun to watch mayhem…

Okay, I’ve got an easy suggestion for you. You claim that he is posting your address all over the internet, etc. as a place of business, why don’t you:

Yelp trash him. Your friends can help. Rate your rental property as a eyesore, etc. (do the same on all of the rating websites- google is your friend)

Write an “official letter” from your county informing him that your address is not licensed for commercial activity.

Just go and talk to your postmaster (you go to the P.O. Box anyway,right?). I’m betting they would be curious about falsified addresses regardless of the P.O. Box. Even filing a complaint there leads significant power through documentation of a repeated problem for the next time the cops show up. Postmasters and police prefer to help someone with a problem much more than they like to always be the perceived bad guy!

If you won’t do anything about it, you have no right to complain. If you let yourself get walked on like this, it’s just your own fault. The person you should be mad at is you because you don’t have the guts to even attempt to fix your problems.
I’d say more, but we’re in the wrong forum. I do not have sympathy for people who will not even try to deal with their own problems. You don’t have to take our advice, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do something.
You are reaping the consequences for your own decision.
Seems to me the decision was made by the guy using her address.
~Olive~, by not doing what you can to stop him using your address, you are, in effect, giving him permission to use your address. So stop complaining.

I complained once. It is not like I come on this site and complain all the time. I was upset the day I made the thread because I was woken up. I haven’t used an alarm clock for the last 30 years because I like waking up on my own time.
I believe what goes around comes around. I am not type to do spiteful things to get back at someone that has done me wrong. It is just not in my nature to do so. I am not going to bash him on yelp as someone suggested. That’s not me. I have talked to a lawyer about it in the past. Several actually. I didn’t follow through with one lawyer because he couldn’t even get the names right as we were doing certain legal things which I won’t go into. I live in a very remote area and have had legal problems WITH lawyers. Which ended up costing me a lot of time and money. I had another lawyer tell me to ignore some of the problems I have had with this neighbor. I have had so many lawyers cause me problems. That I will complain about. I have had to hire lawyers to fix the problems other lawyers cause. I know quite a few lawyers in my remote area. While I socialize with some of them I would never hire them for anything anymore. I wouldn’t hire a lawyer where I live even if I got arrested. Which has happen and I resolved the issue on my own. I guess it is one of the things a person gives up to live in middle of the ocean on a small island.
My neighbor acts like a drunk 10 year old and it actually gives me quite a few laughs. I find a lot of humor in the situation most times and I am sorry you got me on a bad day after I was woken up and it wasn’t my time to be woken up. Sorry you all had to open my thread and read all my complaints, which were answers to some of the questions I was asked. Sorry I am not taking the advice here which I didn’t ask for.
I was really just venting a bit because the cop woke me up. I was kind of happy about knowing about the restraining order.
So I will give you all some advice. Don’t ever buy real estate with a group of people. Even the lawyers won’t get it right. 20 years later and I still have problems because of the kind help from lawyers who have been paid more than a fair price. I have on occasion by-passed the lawyers and went right to the judge.
I did my own will and health directive because the lawyer I hired to do it had people I didn’t even know listed in my will. He made 5 mistakes before we even got to the more important stuff. He a sitting judge at times. And I just can’t trust him. I see him and his wife at social events and we all hug laugh and have good times together. I am not a spiteful person.
What goes around does come around. That’s me. A bit or more of an oddball. I am always the first to admit I am different then the average person. I never worked hard at a career. I never had babies. I had an open marriage. I am different and so I am not surprized I am not taking your advice.
A few people here did seem to catch my drift. Most didn’t because some people on the internet just love to give advice when they don’t know the whole story.
I could have told about the time an exterminator show up sprayed the whole outside of my house and then came to my door and I told him thanks for the extermination but I didn’t hire you to exterminate my house. He asked who was going to pay the bill. I asked if I could see the bill and of course it was the neighbor’s house he should have sprayed. I had no intentions of paying that bill and I told the guy he now should go to the neighbors and tell the neighbor he had to pay for both houses. I don’t know how that worked out but I had quite a giggle about it.
I am sure I will have some juicy follow ups but now wouldn’t post them.
Anyway, I am done with this thread.
