One of the residents working on me was finishing his OB rotation that week. As he walked into the room, he said, “Mrs. No-----oh my gosh!” Turned out he was my husband’s best fried in high school. In another state! They had lost contact over the years, only to be reunited in my hospital room. He very kindly asked if we would rather he *not *work on our case, but we said no, it was okay with us. I joke with my husband that not only has his friend seen my girly bits, but he’s seen my innards! (He assisted in the OR with the c-section.)
Very strange to meet one of your husband’s old school buddies while he’s warming the speculum, y’know?
