I had surgery to remove my gall bladder on Thursday. It was out patient surgery. It went well. I remember the anesthesiologist saying ‘This might burn a little’. The next thing I know I was waking up in aftercare. It’s pretty much a blur after that. I stayed at my parents house Thurday night and Friday to make sure there weren’t any complications. I am back home and feel fine except a little pain from the holes they used to yank the little bastard out.
They gave me pics from the surgery which you can see here.
Maybe it’s the one and a half martinis I’ve had talking but, cool pics sleestack! I’m glad your surgery went well and that you are recovering so great. Amazing ain’t it? Not so long ago gall bladder surgery was a major event involving being cut open from stem to stern. I’ve had one gall bladder attack but it was determined that it wasn’t bad enough to yank out. However, I’ve been told if I ever have another, the sucker’s comin’ out. My first attack was still back when it was a major deal. At least now I am comforted in knowing that the recovery is a whole lot easier.
Again, sleestack, good to know your recovering so well.
Oh, sure. They said they were pictures of your surgery, but it’s really just close-ups of someone stripping the membrane off a beef tenderloin. Then they poked a couple of holes in your abdomen, charged you a gazillion dollars, and said “All better, see?”
Seriously, I think your surgeon supplying pictures is kinda cool. I used to love that surgery program on The Learning Channel.
I think there should be more and bigger pictures, of the room, you all draped up, the lights and folks standing around and the putting of your parts in the trash can and stuff and such … Too Cool…
Cool. The gripper thingies look like the ones we made at my last job. Who knows, maybe I touched those before they stuck them into your stomach.
Making hundreds of hundreds of parts you lose focus that they are really used on a real person. Now with photos. If I still worked there I’d show the guys.
