In fact, I feel exactly the same as I did yesterday when I was 39.997.

Happy Birthday Mr. Blue Sky. You’ve still got a few decades before “old” kicks in.
I’m 41, so I went thru that a short while ago. I didn’t really feel any different either. This is a huge cliche, but a true one: You’re only as old as you feel.
Here’s the question that came up in talking to my sister yesterday (I just turned 41, she’ll be 43 next month);
Are you more comfortable with who you are than when you were 20? 30?
Yes. Yes.
How does it really feel? I feel pretty much the way I’ve always felt.
When some people hear that I still like to watch cartoons and collect toys they tell me, “Act your age”. To which I reply, “I am. This my age and this how I act.”

I was going to post a few theories on aging, but that’s too depressing even for me. Besides, it’s not until 50 that becomes a real issue. Best wishes!
Well, having turned 40 two weeks ago last Friday, I feel a lot better than I had anticipated. I was so wound up about it beforehand (fearing basically that it was the beginning of the end in the romace department), but then afterwards I relaxed, and I actually got compliments form women, so now I feel much more cheerful about it.
Also, I bought myself a DVD recorder.
