You can’t appeal to the reason of those who oppose reason or appeal to the morality of those who have none, and the Right is the intrinsic enemy of both reason and morality. The Right exists for the purposes of tyranny, greed, bigotry and cruelty; nothing more.

I would be greatly in your debt, sir, if you were to specify precisely when and where this generous olive branch of civility and reasoned discourse was extended by the right, only to be rudely slapped into the mud by the left. By God’s grace, nearly all of our communication is recorded nowadays, so it should be a simple matter to point this out.
