So Trump won and some Clinton supporters seem to be having a hard time accepting that

I wonder how many of these protesters actually got off their asses and voted in the actual election, that would be very interesting information to know.

I really like your post. I’m actually really hoping that a “loyal opposition” will help round out some of the rougher edges of our very-inexperienced President-Elect (along with some other factors, like a professional cabinet, compromise with Congress, etc.).

Are you claiming that these women were incapable of giving consent?

And also how many of them actually work. Workers ain’t got time for that.

There was a riot in Portland tonight. Stay classy, Democrats.

Here you go.https://twitter.com/i/moments/796417517157830656

Here’s some more left wing tolerance. Video Surfaces of Man Being Beaten Because He Allegedly Supported Trump

Also a 11 year old student was beaten for voting Trump in a mock school election.

After the made-up hijab attack story and that Asian woman lied about being assaulted on the bridge, I’m having a hard time believing these stories.

I take people seriously when I listen to what they say. I was listening to Michael Medved today, and he was talking to a caller that was upset with him for echoing the sentiment that Trump should say publicly that he did not intend to prosecute Hillary Clinton (I’m pretty sure he won’t do such a thing, no matter what he said to bullshit the gullible conservative rubes). The caller was mad. He WANTS Hillary to be prosecuted and jailed for her “crimes.” Another called in and said her email scandal was worse than Patreus that actually gave access to classified information to his mistress. That was direct and intentional, a much bigger and direct and clear cut “crime” but the caller thought Patreus was punished more harshly for a “lighter” crime than Hillary.

When I listened to Michael Medved try to talk these conservative Trump voters down, it reinforced my views of many of them. There are a lot of bitter, vindictive, spiteful and hateful people out there. Hillary lost, but that is not enough, they want their political enemy in jail. The prosecutors do not think it warranted to have her jailed, or Rudy Juiliani, or Chris Christie, but some of these supporters want blood. I listen to what they say, and I believe them. I believe they are that vindictive in the same way I believe the jihadi when he says he want to murder non muslims for not submitting to Islam.

You want to compare the vileness of man? And supporters? Go read breitbart comments, go look at the impending kkk victory lap for Trump, go watch this Trump encounter.

I was reading comments on another youtube video of Hillarys concession speech, and one lady was blasting her for “disrespecting” the audience and not conceding the night of, going on about how Hillary was an awful human being. I lost it and lashed out at this woman, explaining the far more likely scenario of Hillary probably crying her eyes out at a devastating defeat and not wanting to go on stage like an emotional wreck after decades of preparation and effort cam crashing down to ruin, not only for herself, but her party, and a majority of voters in this nation. As a child of FIVE I would have had the emotional capacity to recognize this rationale as being more likely than Hillary being “selfish” but not this vindictive #$%^.

So if you want to compare notes on how awful Liberal supporters are, let’s. There are a lot of awful people in this world, and the examples won’t end if we try to one up each other about which side has more rotten people.

Scroll down on your first link and you’ll find this;

You can try to deny what this election has unleashed, but it makes you the moral equivalent of those Germans who shrugged and said “Oh, we just thought they were factories”.

It is almost funny. The violence from the left on this board more or less gets a pass. In another thread (the Bundy one IIRC), there was all sorts of crying and gnashing of teeth about how violent the right is in this country*. I put together a list starting from 1970 of riots where people burned shit and broke things. The vast, vast majority of the riots were for left leaning causes. Second place belonged to sports related riots.

Then a thread or two popped up about how the right would riot and kill everyone if Trump lost.

Trump won and what happens? The oh so enlightened and nonviolent liberals start breaking shit and burning things yet again.

I know that most liberals, like most conservatives, do not condone the violence. However watching many on the left ties themselves in knots justifying or dismissing the violence in their own ranks is entertaining.

The downside is, of course, that the burning shit and breaking things hurts actual people. It’d be funny if real people weren’t getting hurt.

Slee

*Both sides have violent loons. It just seems the the left tends to be a bit more collectivist about their violence.

We tried that and it failed. Going low apparently works. And when “works” in this context means keeping our health insurance, ensuring our LGBT friends keep their rights, and not electing the single least qualified presidential candidate ever…

Crickets on the videotaped attack on Trump supporter and the riots in Portland though. Anarchy and left wing violence and hate crimes get a pass?

You think morons blocking traffic on the freeway and smashing store windows in Portland is going to help them keep their health insurance? That’s ignorant.

Fine. I’ll say it. It’s not ok when anyone does it. Hate crimes are a crime, regardless of who commits them. Beating up 11 year old children for a differing political view is heinous. Rioting is wasteful, destructive, horrendous.

Just as the disenfranchised on the right were expected to riot and cause problems [del]when[/del] if they lost, it is no surprise when the equivalent group on the left does the same things. Fewer guns maybe, and more burning cars and looting. When large groups of people feel like they don’t have a voice, sometimes things get out of hand. This is particularly true when the last 6-12 months have been spent cranking up the masses on both sides, with the most toxic election cycle in decades, amped even higher by the wonder of social media.

On the other hand, jumping up and down and pointing out that “your side does it too” accomplishes what, exactly?

That attack(and others) and all the riots are all over the news and this is hardly the only thread talking about it, so what is it with this “crickets” crap?

Do you think telling people that Trump isn’t really that bad and that they should just step back and give him a chance to govern after news of his shortlist of Cabinet candidates came out or, more specifically, when they found out that Trump installed ay-hating religious right leader Ken Blackwell as his Domestic Policy Leader is sensible advice? Blackwell’s immediate goals for this administration are:

*Rescind the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s guidance assuring that federally funded emergency shelters house transgender people according to the sex with which they identify.
*Reinstate the Mexico City Policy, which bars U.S. foreign aid from going to groups that provide abortion-related services or advocate for abortion rights abroad, even when those services are not paid for by U.S. government funding. This so-called “global gag rule” was rescinded by President Obama.
*Reinstate a rule instituted by President George W. Bush that provided broad “conscience protections” for health care workers refusing to participate in care for religious reasons. According to the Washington Post, the rule “was widely interpreted as shielding workers who refuse to participate in a range of medical services, such as providing birth control pills, caring for gay men with AIDS and performing in-vitro fertilization for lesbians or single women.” In 2011, the Obama administration rescinded much of the Bush-era regulation but maintained conscience protections for health care providers who do not want to perform abortions. Ancalle noted that the FRC wants to make sure that new regulations allow physicians not to care for transgender patients by providing hormone therapy and other treatment.
*Reinstate Bush’s ban on federal funding going to embryonic stem cell research.
*Rescind President Obama’s executive order banning federal contractors from engaging in anti-LGBT discrimination.

If you hear people protesting that Trump isn’t their President, maybe it’s because the President has already declared, both through his words and his recent hirings and possible hirings, that there are quite a few people out there that aren’t really his citizens.

When it came to Hillary and Bill Clinton, no one on the right held the standard a little higher than ‘accused’ before they believed the accusations were true. All along. all the right wing believed every accusation as absolute truth. That’s what lost this election. People believing Hillary is the ‘crook’ that Trump called her.

As a result, we have a most deplorable, degenerate idiot as the new president. Already he is tweeting that the protesters are ‘professional protesters.’ Really? Many of them are high school kids, college kids. They are professional protesters? This man doesn’t recognize the truth and doesn’t speak the truth. He fails to recognize or take seriously the fact that so many people reject the idea of him as our president. He’s all ego, and nothing of substance.

He is a very loathsome man who doesn’t embody the values of modern day America, and that is why they are protesting.

Oh, fuck-Is he back to tweeting again? To any and all of you that are saying this transition should be done in a dignified manner and that if we just stay calm and let the transition happen it won’t be so bad?
Your boy is blowing it big time.

And how does mob violence fix that, or make anyone think better of those people?

Is there some certain number of windows that have to be smashed and small businesses that have to be torched that will cause Trump to declare “My God, I was wrong, I hereby declare Bernie Sanders president for life”?
