So we just found a stray puppy

In our area the most effective pet location method (BY FAR) I’ve ever seen is giving the pic and description to several popular local bloggers in your area. Lots more area people read the local bloggers daily vs Craigs List.

90% + of the time some FOAF of the owner recognizes the lost pet and can get the owner to call or email you. The blogger gets to bask in the glow of a good deed and the pet gets found. Win-Win.

I wouldn’t even know IF there were local bloggers around here let alone who they are. Fortunately I don’t have a found puppy to locate owners for, though.

Bump

So what’s up with the pup? Did your neighbors take her or did her owners show up?

The neighbors decided not to take her and we’ve had no success finding her owners. I’m giving it a few more days to try to find someone who wants an adorable puppy. But as for what is next, I just don’t know. 40% of me wants to keep her, but the majority thinks we should take her to the Humane Society. I’m sure she’ll find a home soon enough, as many people want adorable puppies. But what if the people who adopt her are mean or don’t take good care of her?

Ahem. As Chief (and only) Justice of the Hypothetical Court of Improbable Jurisdiction, I remind you that this Court has already ruled on the matter, in post 23.

Do I have to appoint one of your children as the Court’s Marshall to see that said order is enforced?

:cool::D:):stuck_out_tongue:

When the photographer came by yesterday to take pictures of the kids (see my "I’m in the newspaper’ thread) he was interested in the puppy and took lots of pictures of her. Maybe he’ll take her… or maybe I’m just dreaming that this floppy-eared, cat-tormenting, shoe-chewing beast isn’t already mine.

I will tell you the same thing my ex’s friend told him when they brought a stray cat home. “Dude. You’re Screwed.”

Name her Charlotte, and call her Charlie for short.

Now you are just screwing with a bunch of people, a puppy, and god knows what else. That isn’t the recipe for a good Karma pie. You know what you need to do and it was already ruled on many times.

She’s yours Palo. They all eat shoes, chase cats and do stoopid stuff, but that face says she will be a very dear and loyal friend to your family for years. You could also send an email to trusted friends with that picture and screen any potential owner. It’s puppy season, and I appreciate the Humane Society, but anyone thinking about a puppy will want her–except for your neighbors apparently.

Also, awwwwwwww!

Blanche. She’s white, and clearly, she depends on the kindness of strangers.

Where are her (training) papers? Is she legal?

Well?? <taps foot impatiently> Is the pup still in residence at Casa Palo Verde? I also think more photos are in order of the Adorable One.
