Seriously, Duchovny’s movie career has been about as succesful as david Caruso’s and Tea Leoni has just dropped off the face of the earth after her show on NBC was cancelled.

Duchovny could never work again in his life and still be fabulously wealthy. The real money is in television, not movies.
The guys who created “Cheers,” for example, haven’t done a single thing since (except write the script for Pushing Tin) and they have more money than many small countries.
Duchovny could buy a solid-gold Mercedes every week for the rest of his days and still have enough money to light campfires with piles of thousand-dollar bills.

Well, David is in Full Frontal which came out earlier this month, and stars in the upcoming “My Dark Places.” He’s also expressed intrest, in a few interviews, in doing more X-Files movies, the soonest of which would come out in late 03’ early 04’, assuming Chris Carter gets his act together enough to write a script and sell FOX on it.
Tea just had a baby in June, Kydd Miller Duchovny, in addition to a 3 year old, West…she’s going to be in two movies I’ve never heard of: People I Know, and Hollywood Ending.
Hopefully they’ll suport their children’s decisions in a couple of decades to change their legal names to something less silly. I’m thinking that West will go by her first name (Madaline) by school age, despite what her parents call her.

Evolution bombed, but Zoolander was a moderate hit (I haven’t seen either). Return To Me was a wonderful film, though it wasn’t a big hit. According to IMDB, he’s still hosting the series Red Shoe Diaries, which he’s been doing for 10 years, and as someone else pointed out, Full Frontal just opened. But so what? If he wants to take it easy and be a daddy for a while, more power to him!
I am looking forward to My Dark Places though.

You are wrong. As others have pointed out, she’s had two children, while still working steadily. I wouldn’t call starring in the big budget hits Deep Impact and Jurassic Park III “dropping off the face of the earth.” The Family Man wasn’t a hit, but it made money. Her most recent film to be released, Hollywood Ending, did about as well as most Woody Allen movies do. People I Know, with Al Pacino, has been delayed because of the World Trade Center disaster (from what I hear, Al Pacino’s character’s office was in the WTC) and I don’t know what’s going on with it or when (if) it will be released.
You could do a little bit of research before you go starting such an absurd thread.

Re Tea Leoni she’s a mommy with a baby and a toddler and enough resources at her disposal not to have to generate additional income if she doesn’t want to. Opinions may differ but I think she’s got enough on her plate re the full time job of being an attentive and present mother to keep her busy for some time without worrying about her status as a player in the entertainment industry.
