So what are you drinking these days?

Ditto. I have a swig of Rare Breed going as I write this. I think I prefer Kentucky Spirit slightly however.

Just what I need, off one spiced rum boat and onto another.

Sounds like a plan for Saturday night!

Cold Savignon Blanc, preferably from Capel Vale Western Australia Winery.

Vodka and Cranberry with mint is always wonderful.

Speaking of mint - Mojitos! I can’t make one at home properly yet, but I assure you I am practising very hard!

RIGHT now I’m drinking the end of a bottle of Hogue late harvest Riesling. SO tasty. SO tipsy.

I like a good sweet white (dessert wines are my absolute favorite, but to spendy for regular drinking). Port on occassion, but not reds, usually.

Beer, really any microbrewed american beer (been really working my way through all the amazing beer up here since I moved in august) excluding IPAs, or Guinness, Bass, Harp, Newcastle, Murphy’s, etc. I love a good sweet coffee-ish stout.

Sweet, really, anything. Bailey’s (or whichever, we get a bottle of Bailey’s for Christmas most years from my in-laws) over ice, Tootsie Roll (Kahlua and OJ, looks nasty, tastes like a tootsie roll), Mudslides, Strawberry Daquiri, etc etc. The Mexican restaurant across the street makes the most amazing blackberry margarita (real fruit crushed in the drink) and I love that too.

I wish I could still drink like I did in college. Two rounds of Irish Car Bombs an hour interspersed with tequila shots and I could still walk, talk and hold down food. Sigh.

Well, whatever floats yer boat. I occasionally make old-fashioneds using 18-year single-barrel rye. It’s just a different way of enjoying the whiskey.

On another note, right now I’m drinking a Widow’s Kiss:

2 parts Laird’s apple brandy
1 part Benedictine
1 part yellow Chartreuse
1 or 2 dashes of angostura bitters

This is definitely worth having again.
