Oh, I’d also like to say I know what ChrisCTP did while the board was down, since I haven’t seen her post here yet.
She logged on, checked to see if the board was up, saw that it wasn’t, then IMed me saying “Where the fuck is the board?!?” and signed off before I could answer. (Love ya Chris!)

I bought a graphics tablet for my Mac, and drew and drew for hours on it. (Used MetaCreations’ “Painter Classic” software - love it.) You just lose track of time when using one of those drawing tablets!
A good thing, too. I checked “Straight Dope” several times a day, sighed in disappointment when it was still down, but just held myself together long enough to check again the next day. Also, wrote long rambling letters to the PowerMac mailing list I belong to. That kept me off the street.
I was trying to get Linux up as a dual boot on my system, so I didn’t even find out that it was down until it was over.
I guess that means I’m not much of a regular.
Talked crap on other boards until they got annoyed with me.
What is MFSD? Some other Straight dope board?
I worked, then was blessed with my girlfriend’s company (It’s an hour drive, and neither one of us had much time, but she came down to see me for a couple of hours anyway. That woman rocks!).
