-World of Warcraft Collectors Edition
-A Coffee maker
-A flatware set
-A DVD player w/speakers
-2 Dress shirts (for job interviews/work)
-2 Belts (ditto)
-Money
This year I was seriously thinking about things that would be useful for when I move out. So the flatware/coffeemaker/DVD player are a definite plus. Though they aren’t terribly useful right now (though I plan on setting up the coffee maker in my room )
Getting World of Warcraft collector’s edition was great. The only downside is right now I can’t play it at my house. My computer can run it, and we have AOL broadband, but something about the router won’t let me play online games  so I’ll have my best friend futz around with it. In the meantime, I can always play it off my friend’s house, since he has plenty of computers and that would mean we have 2 accounts (and dualing up with 2 people in the same room is great- much less typing involved when you can just talk to the person next to you! )

A wooden cheese serving tray for my oldest brother
(these last two haven’t been shipped yet)
And for my cousin:
Season 5 of Buffy and a t-shirt that says “I have a skanky cousin and I’m proud”. It’s a long story, but I hear it was a hit at the family party last night.
From my SDMB Secret Santa, I got some chocolate and cool logic puzzle books.
Mr. Carmichael gave me a cute candleholder thingy. (We’re getting our major Christmas presents next month.)
Money from the in law’s and my uncle, most of which went to bills.
I got what I really wanted, though: PEACE. A stress-free, drama-free Christmas. We stayed home, watched movies, spent some time with friends and just relaxed. No insane relatives, no traveling, no pressure.
A fantabulous trip to Germany August 2004
A 1994 Chevy Suburban (It is outfarkingstanding.) And a new alternator for the truck. That was my xmas present last week. And a tank of gas.
We ain’t broke, but we are badly bent.
On Xmas Eve he gave me a Mp3 player and a gift card for napster. I have no idea how to use an Mp3 player or, if I actually need one. But I was excited.
I didn’t even mention the stuff I got before Christmas:
[ul]
[li]A copy of the first movie the new bf and I watched together, plus a couple of cool mix CD’s[/li][li]A journal recycled from an old kids’ book called Fossils Tell of Long Ago[/li][li]A hand-knit washcloth and rubber ducky soap[/li][/ul]
And I did give some stuff, although I dropped the ball this year:
[ul]
[li]To the bf, a comic book (seemingly the chintziest present ever, but it is the best single comic book ever made). And the CD’s I’m going to deliver in person.[/li][li]A bunch of DVD’s, a couple of books, and half a laser printer to my Daddy[/li][li]A CD, a DVD set of “Alias”, Casablanca, and half a coffee maker for Mama[/li][li]A motherboard and CPU, and the “Seinfeld” DVD sets for my brother. (I’d originally gotten him a video card and a copy of Half-Life 2, but he’d already bought them for himself.)[/li][/ul]
My favorite gift is a photo sent to me by my grandmother of my Great Grandfather and my Grandfather in scout uniforms, taken roughly in 1946.
My Grandfather (other side) was a scout (still is as a volunteer), my father (his son) is an Eagle scout, my Great Grandfather (pictured) was a scoutmaster, my Grandfather (pictured) was a scout, and I am an Eagle scout.
I had no idea my Great Grandfather was involved in scouting at all until today.
I gave (The big things)
Mr zoogirl - hooded sweatshirt with wolves, his favorite.
Kid, the Elder - big, black, hooded ski-jacket.
Kid, the Younger - tools and wood-carving set.
I got - (The best stuff)
“Alice Cooper Trashes the World” DVD (We’re getting a player tommorow)
“Wayne’s World” on VHS
Saddlebags for my bike - finally!
