Was I supposed to say whether I read them on line or not? I don’t - husband gets three newspapers a day - the kind made of paper. I read them in that.
I read many of the comics mentioned here, but one I love that is not mentioned, so far as I see, is Jump Start. If you are not familiar with it take a look. There’s a lot of characters in an extended family, so figuring out relationships can take a while, but it’s funny. One of the only comics I know that has a black/white married couple. There may be others, but our dead tree paper doesn’t carry them.
I still pine for Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes.
I’m the guy who keeps MARK TRAIL from going away. The same beautiful nature comic strip art, like RICK O’SHAY (RIP), with a miserable melodrama plot. A Comics Curmudgeon favorite.
You know that there are new Bloom Countys online?
Apparently, I’m starting to follow Luann semi-regularly. Not every strip, but I catch up every now and again.
And, IMO at least, they’re every bit as good as the old ones.
Get Fuzzy (which seems to be in reruns ) , Luann, Baby Blues, For Better or For Worse (reruns) , Family Circus… I love Mutts SO much, and Jump Start is often fascinating. Curtis, an 11 year old black kid, is often touching/maddening/hilarious. Oh, and Mother Goose and Grimm, Peanuts, …I look at all of them. Except Gil Thorpe, I loathe that one
The only newspaper strip I’ve read in years is Pearls Before Swine, online.
