So, what's your MBTI personality type? SO, too.

ENTP

NoCoolUserName - looks like we got us a convoy…

ENTJ here and Wordwife would definitely characterize me as a pain in the butt, er, Fieldmarshall. Not sure what she is - probably ISFJ…

Evil pun, yes, I know.

I was just checking out my MBTI personality type, and I happen to be an INTP. Strange thing is, my SO happens to be an ESFJ, which is TOTALLY opposite from what I’m supposed to be, and, well, we’re almost 2 years, and still going strong…
So, what’s your MBTI type? SO, too.

http://www.humanmetrics.com/

Similar Minds also has a great test for this too.

I am an ENFP.

And you’re supposed to be the opposite of your partner to balance things out.

I’m aware that we are in IMHO, not GD or GQ. But I don’t see any indication yet in this thread that MBTI is anything other than a semi-serious method of describing a personality. Y’all are aware that this has about as much validity as asking “What’s your sign?”, especially in this particular message board? Where “fighting ignorance” is at least given a token nod?

Myers-Briggs is NOT a valid psychological tool. It’s a bad attempt at pop-psychology bafflegab mumblespeak. If you find it fun, fine, but don’t take it seriously. If all contributors to this thread are aware of that except me, then I will consider myself to be royally whooshed.

And I’m a Pisces.

Can this question get any more vague?

Now, to my results. I’m an iSfJ, aka, The Protector Guardian.

Ain’t that the truth. But I am in some good company:

Jimmy Stewart
Mother Teresa
Louisa May Alcott
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Queen Elizabeth II of England
Robert E. Lee
Queen Mary I (“Bloody Mary”) of England

Well, maybe not Robert E. Lee.

ENFP

Some of the stuff in there describes me so accurately, it’s spooky.

Especially

[quote]
Champions strive toward a kind of spontaneous personal authenticity, and this intention always to “be themselves” is usually communicated nonverbally to others.

That describes my style of socialization exactly.

I’m an INFP

ISFP, 22 22 67 67. My soon-to-be-ex husband is an INTJ, 78 56 67 78. (approximately. I took it for him, and answered what I believe he would answe.) No wonder it didn’t work out.

ENTP.

Spouse is INTJ.

ESTJ, tho last time i took it a year or so ago i was ESFJ. fairly close to how i am tho so in my case it isn’t complete crap

ENTP

This is from a “real” test, administered by my employer last year.

weak E, moderate N, incredibly strong T, and a pretty healthy P

But what can I say, my P-ness is legendary.

eNTp

Enneagram is a stong type 7 if you want another interesting personality test to take.

This is the second time I have taken this test and I have come up INTJ both times now. If nothing else this shows that I’m consistent in answering the questions similarly.

INFJ.

I hate these sorts of tests and yet to my surprise upon reading the description I felt that in many ways it summed up what I have always known about myself. I do tune out and yet I’m very tuned in… Idealistic, activist, writer, intuitive, introspective and I can get into other people’s heads sometimes. Occassionally confused with a leader when I prefer to work behind the scenes. Often confused with an extrovert when I am simply fascinated by people.

Any idea what type would be a good match for an INFJ?

I’m a Leo.

It misses out of some key areas, like humour or scepticism for instance. And no, I don’t take any psych/ personality test seriously. It can’t compare to the test that is life. It’s just that the decription was strikingly dead-on in my case, a rare occurrence.

I am what I am.

You might want to look at the Barnum or Forer Effect:

Yet Another INTJ here. Got me bang-to-rights

  • perfectionism and disregard for authority - check

  • been known to implement critical decisions without consulting their superiors - check, hehehe

  • do not readily grasp the social rituals - There are social rituals? Wha? Since when? That’s when all the EF people flap their food holes at each other yes?

ESTJ here as well, although I was INTP taking a different Socionics test 3 years ago. Anyone else get varying results on these things? I’m almost convinced that people’s answers are highly biased by what has been going on in their lives in just the last few days.

Although the fact that I’m nearly on the border every time for introvert/extrovert and judgemental/perceptive may have something to do with it; who knows.

I’m an ENTP. Not quite sure it fits all the way, but a bit of it sounds accurate.

That would be someone who shares your values rather than a particular personality “type.” How you feel about kids, travel (or living in one spot), communication, art, science–well, to make it short: life. These compabilities mean so much more in terms of a “good match” than some (quite possibly bogus) test score.

Just MHO (which is where we are, is it not?).
