I only remebered when I heard the news at two ‘o’ clock announced as the one ‘o’ clock news. . . . . at this point I realised I had been awake an hour ealier than I thought.
When I worked for a well-known fast food chain I was to be there at 7:00 AM one Sunday morning in the spring, when the clocks move ahead one hour. This particular day was one week before the spring time change. A little after 6:00 that morning I got a call from the manager who asked me why I hadn’t come in yet. After telling him that I wasn’t due in until 7:00 he told me it was after 7:00 because of the time change. I told him that he was a week early, but he insisted that the time change was for that day. I finally convinced him to call for the official time and so he did. He called me back later to tell me I was right. I wanted to say, “See? Told you, so!” .
We always set our clocks back in the morning . . . but yes I did remember about the time change as soon as I woke up. Then, still abed, Mr. S and I discussed our options of how best to use our extra hour. Funny, we both came up with the same idea.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one.
For some reason my PC clock at home did not adjust automatically. But somehow the AM/PM got swapped (probably due to me mis-clicking when I rest manually). Kind of weirded me out this morning when it told me about the appointments I’d missed.
I did adjust all my clocks. But I missed something anyway.
I listen to a webcast of a show on Australia Radio National. An hour before its scheduled time, I thought I should check to see if it was on. It wasn’t, so I just waited an hour and tried again. It still wasn’t on, and I heard the announcer mention the local time. It was 2 hours later than I thought it should be. It finally dawned on me that clocks in Australia were adjusted in the opposite direction because it’s spring there, not autumn. So even though I tuned in an hour early, I was still an hour late.
I had no idea I was supposed to until I turned on my computer, which informed me that it had changed the clock. I panicked for about three seconds and checked online to verify the time change, so things worked out.
I remembered to spring forward.
I forgot all about changing my clocks so I was an hour late for work
Oh well I’ll probably make up for it when we change them back and be an hour early for work
One of these days I will work out this dang daylight savings thing!
One year, I left my apartment at 8 and got home at 7:30. I got up early on Sunday and went to the grocery store. I had the radio on in the car and on my way home they mentioned the time change. Now, my fiancee takes care of “remembering stuff” for me. So I didn’t forget to fall back this time, nor have I since we met. Before we started dating, I don’t think I ever remembered.
