C’mon … admit it … who forget to set their clocks up this morning?
I did.
But luckily I normally arrive to the ship an hour before I have to. I did make muster. I also embarassed two of my young sailors who’d forgotten to advance their clocks. Sometimes I can be so… superior.
Good thing I double-checked the clocks yesterday evening. While he was waiting for me to get ready to go out, my friend did me a favor and reset all the clocks for me.
He moved them all an hour back. No malicious intent here: he honestly thought we set the clocks back in the spring.
I’ve re-reset everything exept the VCR (can’t find the fershluggin’ booklet).
I rememebered, but only because I was reminded last night. I didn’t know it was today. Really, I didn’t.
I didn’t forget but that’s only because I was at work and they changed them automatically for me!
Nope, I remembered.
But part of that could have something to do with the insomnia I was suffering which caused me to be on the computer when the time change came, and saw the time advance on it’s own… Makes it a little harder to forget!!!
The two clocks I live by - my alarm clock and the PC - both set themselves automatically. Neener, neener, neener.
Of course, it will take me three months to get the rest of the clocks in the house set right.
Okay, I admit it, I completely forgot to set my clock forward this morning.
I did, however, set it back about a week ago. I live in the southern hemisphere.
(sigh)
I admit it. I totally forgot. When I got downstairs this morning and booted up, I saw the time on my computer had automatically changed, and for a second I thought, “What the …?” Then I remembered.
Probably wouldn’t have remembered it at all if it hadn’t been for that.
I sometimes have a sieve for a brain.
The cable company did it on the tv, but my computer didn’t even when I went online. I always change my clocks when I wake up [unless I absolutely have to be somewhere] so I can get my full sleep. You cannot mess with my sleep – woe to thee if ye try!
totally. I even set my alarm 'cause the kid (godhelpusall) is borrowing the car for a ‘road trip’. So, I’m asleep, he comes in, says “mom”. Now, in direct contrast to all the males in the household (including the damn cat), I actually respond to my name, and awaken. I look at my clock, see it’s before my alarm is due to go off and start protesting until “duh” and ok, I’m up.
Another automatic, here!
I didn’t change my clocks … I didn’t forget to change them … and I’m not going to change them.
I live in Phoenix: we don’t have daylight savings time.
Yay for you Mauvise! Daylight savings is the scourge of the world. Damn I hate all the mess it causes with timezone calculations. That’s the second time in a week I’ve had to adjust my thinking…
And as soon as I post this I’m going to fix up the time zone in my profile. grumbles
I didn’t have to. When we last set them BACK, I never changed the one by my bed. Just too lazy. I’ve been mentally subtracting an hour ever since. This morning, I wake up, and the only adjustment I have to make is to my mental habit of subtracting 60 minutes.
There’s something pathetic in this…
Not I! I was awake when my PC clock adjusted itself with a big notification window so I just went around and did all the clocks.
Nope I live in Saskatchewan, we don’t change time so I don’t have to worry about that.
Keith
Well, must admit I was more than aware of needing to change clocks…and was wide awake when my computer changed itself for me. There’s something malicious, though, about looking at a clock that tells you it’s only a bit after 3 and knowing it’s a bit after 4 and you really ought to be in bed. ::glares menacingly at the the alarm clock:: Oh well, I’m doing remarkably well this morning for the amount of sleep I got, so I suppose it’s okay.
Set what? What happened? Daylight savings what?
I got early this morning (I’m the early riser in the family) and changed all of the clocks by moving them forward one hour. Then I settled down to read the paper and listen to NPR. A little while later, the local announcer came on and said it was 9 a.m. I looked at the clock and one of the clocks I had just changed said 10 a.m.
As near as I can figure, before my wife went to bed last night she changed them also.
So then I had to go through out the house and change all of the clocks back again.
Jeez, I hate daylight savings time.
