It will be an hour ahead of time for the next couple of weeks until I stumble across the right combination of buttons while fiddling with the controls while waiting at a traffic light. Of course, I will have no idea how I did it (happens every time).
That, or I stumble across the instruction book again (it`s somewhere in the house).
I didn’t forget. I just never do it until the morning after we’re supposed to set them back.
Which I still haven’t done yet, because I’m lazy and irresponsible.
And I, too, won’t be able to figure out how to do it in my car, either, until I fiddle with the buttons for about a week. By that time, Mr.Silky will have lost all patience with me and do it himself, which will have been my goal all along.
You don’t even know how confused I was just now. I looked at the clock by my computer, and it said 9:05. My alarm went off at 8:45. The clock at the bottom of my screen said 8:05. I thought time was reversing on me…grr.
Having said that, I don’t wear a watch, so that’s not a worry. My car stereo however…time to hunt for the manual…
My VCR and computer reset themselves. I changed my alarm clock and watch last night because after dragging myself in at 3:30, I REALLY wanted at least the illusion of that extra hour of sleep. So I was asleep by 3:00 instead of 4:00.
Then, dammit, I wake up at 7:30…it’s a good thing I don’t have anything to DO today!
I have the same problem with the car radio, though the radio in the pickup requires extra brain power to figure out. I just figured it out: press the button to change the display to clock, hold down the scan button, and then use the seek button to change the hours.
Sort of reminds me of the old SNL skit with the Chronograph 3000 (or whatever it was): “One hand wears the watch, while another sets the time. A third hand sets the date…”
We got to church this AM and realized the time change when se saw noone in the parking lot. We went back home (a whole 2 minutes away) and waited… and also changed all our clocks.
Whew. I did remember to change the clock in my room, and the computer does it itself, but I completely forgot about the watch until I read this post. Thanks!
I don’t know how to change my watch and I don’t have the instructions and I don’t even know what brand it is so I’m having trouble Googling it. I’m so overwhelmed I’m about to cry!
I was a bar just around the corner from my house with one of my roommates. We were in costume, becuase Halloween is a big deal–drawing up to 100,00o people (or so the “official estimates” said). Since we got an extra hour of drinking time, we were very aware of the time change. When we got home, the first thing we did was change the clocks (which can be rather amusing when you’re drunk). We don’t have very many clocks, anyway.
Fortunately my alarm clock and computer change themselves.
But I wouldn’t have any problem changing the others because I’ve had plenty of practice recently. My electricity has gone out 5 or 6 times in the past two months.
I spent 45 minutes on the boards here trying to figure out why they were an hour behind when I realized that because I didn’t have to change clocks, I had to change the time offset on the boards. I thought having no DST meant that I didn’t have to adjust things
I changed my bedroom clock, changed the oven clock, and changed the microwave clock. What did I forget? My watch. That thing is like another body part. I stared down at it this morning, wondering how I could’ve slept until 11 if I went to bed before 12.
I fixed it, though. Even if it did take a lot of work since the little dial thingie you turn is broken.

Oh, and I never did change my car radio clock in the spring, so it’s accurate again. Unfortunately, for the past several months I’ve been looking at it and adding an hour…it’s going to be a pain in the rear remembering that it’s not an hour off now.
It’s very easy to change but somehow I never can remember how to do it without digging out the owners’ manual.
