So, who still hasn't done their taxes?

Eh, I’ll do 'em tomorrow.

I keep meaning to but stuff keeps coming up. Like naps.

Also, I’m getting a return so the irs doesn’t care when I turn the forms in. It’s only folks who owe that have a real deadline.

Not that I couldn’t use the money.

I haven’t done mine either. I rent. I take the standard deduction. I do TurboTax and it takes about 15 minutes. I, too, will do it tomorrow.

I tried to do them today, but apparantly, NY state has some stupid new policy where I don’t just send in my W-2 earnings report I was sent from my employer, I have to fill out some god damn form. A form which, if my predictions are correct, will just be the same information from my W-2 copied over. Why do they do this? Because they are bastards. I actually would have gone back to the library to get the new form, but the fact that I owe the feds over $400 and the state over $300 really pissed me off. I have no idea why I owe money, all I know is that I do, and it pisses me off to no end.

Taxes, who does those? not I, said me…or at least, not yet…

Ah, shit, I guess I should start thinking about that, eh?

We did ours, but haven’t mailed the check yet. I don’t want those fuckers to have the dough any longer than absolutely necessary. It’s only a couple hundred bucks, but still…

I did mine in February and already have my refunds. Why should the government keep my money any longer than necessary?

I still have yet to do mine. I don’t expect to get much money back this year, so I have had little incentive to do it until the very last.

I’ve been trying to do my taxes. More accurately, I’ve been trying to get the accountant to finish them. He says I can come in after noon today. My Federal return, mom’s Federal return, mom’s state returns for Arizona and California, my state return for California, housing deductions, business deductions… A little overwhelming this year. At least there’s no state return for Washington.

I’m still waiting to get mine back from my accountant as well. I’m not too thrilled with them right now.

I just now did 'em (Federal & State). Took me about 20 minutes, not counting putting stuff in envelopes and mailing it in.

Been done since Feb. I hate to wait until there is pressure.

What, I’m the only one who’s planning to file for an extension? I have complicated taxes, I itemize deductions and have a side business. I know I owe about $1k so I’ll send that in and finish it later. I have two major projects going on now and can’t take a weekend to do my taxes. I shouldn’t owe any penaties because my income is erratic and I already sent in more than I owed last year.

I haven’t. I always owe, so I’m in no big rush. :frowning:

I never do mine anymore–my brother does 'em for me.

Another laggard here. However, Americans living overseas get an automatic extension until June 15, so I have all the time in the world, plus my taxes are pretty simple.

I just did them. Stupid IRS and Stupid Franchise Tax Board, making me pay a stupid $150 amount. Stupid, that’s what it is.

My mother just provided the printouts last weekend, and they’ve been signed and (hopefully, if Mrs. Butler was able to take the Butlerette to the Post Office) sent off today.

$5K coming back… got to love the new deduction! (Butlerette)

I hate that the Govt has had free use of that money, but it’s a nice “forced savings”… got to find something positive, right?

Who does their own taxes? I just give my stuff to my parents, and they have their accountant do it
