I’m still waiting to play 
For some reason none of the stores around here carry it yet. So I ordered it online from Amazon.com. But because of super saver shipping and a technical error it still hasn’t been shipped yet. sigh And I’ve been following this game for a good year too waiting to play!
Eh, I made my character when I posted that, but I haven’t been able to log in with him yet. sighs, waits
GMRyujin, I hear that Starstrider is a popular server and hard to get on. You might have better luck elsewhere.
Apparently so, I got through character creation after about an hour’s waiting, but it still won’t connect. I’ve given up for the night, will try again tomorrow.
Irony, Dopers spend their time on a slow, unreliable message board, then play games on slow, unreliable servers…

And I know maybe 3 people who’ve heard of Nightwish. They rule. (Ironically, I heard em watching movies from Dark Age of Camelot).
Oh, and I’m down (or was) in Mos Eisley. Just like every other lame-o, I’m sure. Feel like I just fell off the turnip truck.
Is the character customization as good as they say? I’ve been hearing people making their chars look exactly like themselves or celebrities and from the few pics of a Humphrey Bogart clone i saw it was very believable.
I’m still having a blast playing. I ended up a Marksman/scout/Artisan. I run out, shoot things, harvest their corpse, and build crap out of it. Playing with my first harvesters right now., But I can’t be very social. My poor slow ass computer makes me limit my town runs to nighttime when nobody is around.
FYI… if you want to get on Starsider, make a character in the morning. At night, it’s always full, but first thing in the morning it’s easy to get on.
From what I’ve seen, once you get a character made, logging on isn’t an issue. Not sure what your problem was, GMRyujin… maybe they were patching?
Yea, it’s pretty good. You can control everything right down to the shape, width, and “bump” of the nose, for example. I was having fun just clicking Random and seeing what came up.
No idea. I made the character and it said “Connecting to Galaxy”, and it’d do that for about ten minutes, and then it’d say “Connection to Galaxy timed out” or something like that. Whereas with Scylla, it connected right away. Maybe I’ll make a Wookiee if I can ever get on Starsider.
Alright, my Starsider toon is Eakai, another scout, and he’ll be in Mos Eisley.
Is this game any good via a 56k or should I just keep dreaming?
