So, who's seen the Homestar Runner webpage?

http://www.homestarrunner.com/

A super-flash-heavy site that features some odd, strange, cute cartoon characters in all sorts of mundanely bizarre situations. It takes a while to get into, since most of the cartoons or features aren’t drop-dead hilarious (some are, but most of them are just amusing and cute)… and you grow to love the characters.

I would suggest that a new viewer check out the Strong Bad E-mails…

I’d say we’ve heard of it.

Freaky.

I’d never heard of Homestarrunner.com before my brother showed it to me last weekend, though it’s apparently been around for a couple of years. Since then it’s come up in conversation or posts like this four independent times. Isn’t there a name for this phenomenon?

I’ve spent way too much time over the past few days exploring the site. The movies get funnier in retrospect as you start to pick up more of the inside references. And the Strong Bad emails are definitely the best part. “Trogdor, the Burninator!”

Have you found some of the eggs yet? There’s one in most of the emails…some are better than others…

AND THEN TROGDOR COMES IN THE NIIIIIGGGGGHHHHTTTTTT!!!

Great Site! Although I will concede that the characters to take a bit of getting used to. Alot of people don’t know a thing about the site, as they all just go to see Strong Bad E-mail!

Hahahaha… my brother said something about the site last weekend. I guess I will have to check it out. (and no… he didn’t say anything about Strong Bad email)

F_X

Neglected to mention the blast-from-the-past costumes in the Halloween party animations. And the atari 2600 video game references… ah, nostalgia for the '80s…

Are you kidding? I LOVE MONDAYS NOW because of the new Strong Bad email! I have StrongBad wallpaper! Strong Bad starts up my computer! (“Helllllooooooooo stupid, and welcome to your crappy computer.”) He shuts it down! (“Good bye stupid, we had a lot of fun on your crappy computer…please don’t ever come back!”) He’s my alert sound! (“Holy crap!”)

[sub]btw, anyone else catch the April Fool’s gag? Totally floored me…wish I’d looked around more![/sub]

Aw!!! This is awesome. One of the guys who does the site, Matt, is a friend of mine. It is great to see good work from good folks appreciated by good folks  I wonder if he knows that 5 threads have been started on the dope boards about his stuff…I might just have to drop him a note.

Ah, I feel better knowing that a quality site like this is getting the exposure it deserves…

StrongBad’s email is consistently more interesting than mine.

I love that website. Hilarious.

If you’re obsessed with Strong Bad (as I am), here’s a link to the Strong Bad Secrets site. It’s the best/most complete set of not just the secrets, but direct links to the emails.

Use it for awesome.

I’ve heard of it, but I didn’t experience the awesomeness until last night. Wow. My favorites have to be the Japanese cartoon e-mail (hooray for Megaman music) and the techno e-mail. A bunch of my friends have an a cappella group going and they are working on a version of “The System is Down.” Pure awesome.

HomestarRunner is truly a website that uses the power of the internet for awesome.

I have SB do that type of stuff on my computer, too. When I get an email, he says “Electronic MAIL!” and when I shut down, he says “It’s about time! Why don’t you go outside or something? NERD!”

What? You think everyone is logging on to watch “tape-leg”? That’s a good one!

Should. SHOULD check out this little snippet. :smack:

I did preview that post, I swear to God…

I prefer finding the extras through good old fashioned hard work.

I do miss some of the older characters that have been fazed out. Mr. King of Town for one…

Ah, Strong Bad, the bane of so many Farkers.

Every Monday the SB email gets linked to, and every Monday people biatch about it. “Why is this posted? It’s not even funny. And everyone who thinks it’s funny knows when it’s updated.” “Then don’t read it.” “blah blah blah”.
