So why DOES Mexican Coca Cola taste different?

Anecdotal again I know, but I personally can certainly taste the difference between Soft Drinks with HFCS and cane suger.

I don’t know why, as I do not believe I suffer from synesthesia, but Coke with corn syrup tastes “browner.” Warmer. Less cool and refreshing.
