Because they have to update the DNS servers to do that.
No doubt they have, but the problem is that changes to DNS entries take time to propagate. Until that happens, boards.straightdope.com will point to the old server.
i realise that but their main link on the hompage could point to boardstest.straightdope.com/
Probably not worth the trouble with all of the other fixes that need to be done. The DNS will update soon - 12 to 24 hours.
