I’m glad that Martha & Dmitry left. I picked Martha to go based on Wed’s performances (the other 4 girls are just better…it’s going to get ugly next week), but I really thought Ryan or Ivan would leave. Even though I’m glad Dmitry is gone, it completely shocked me. I thought we (as a country) liked him more. Ivan was as amazed as I was that he was safe. Whereas America doesn’t vote for Dmitry, they must be voting for Ivan.

I think Ryan & Ivan are still on the block for next week. Benji & Travis are just too good. I’m worried about Allison & Natalie next week. They’re both awesome but historically don’t seem to get votes. Donyelle & Heidi are both more likable, if not necessarily more talented.

So much funny stuff this week! Heidi is full of spunk? Really? Who’s she getting it on with? The ‘spunk spunk spunk’ outburst reminded me of Chapelle’s ‘skeet skeet skeet!’. And did anyone else catch Cat TOTALLY checking out Dmitry’s boobs? I’ve never seen such obvious gender-reversed boob staring before. And on national TV!

Oh, and I finally realized why I hate Mary’s face. It’s her incredibly thin, alomst non-existant upper lip. It makes her face look like it’s perpetually in the first stages of Indiana Jones ark-induced Nazi-face-melt.

I, too, enjoyed the zombie dance. I did not enjoy watching Martha & Dmitry dance the same routine 3 times in 2 nights w/innumerable replays. (but Martha was way better w/o the hat.) Thanks, TiVo!

It’s so freaking difficult to rank the ladies! Any of them could go up/down 1 or 2 spots depending on my mood. While I put Heidi at the bottom, I don’t think there’s any way she’s going home next week. My guess for next weeks elims: Ryan & Natalie.

p.s. Happy for Nigel that his show rocks. I think SYTYCD should be getting MORE votes than AI. Singing is boring, dancing is HOT!

I wasn’t shocked, but I really did think Ryan would go first and then Dmitry. Dmitry fell into the Natalie trap of playing up his sexuality and while it may have picked up some female votes, it may have alienated the male audience. Not good to alienate half your audience.

I absolutely agree that Ryan and Ivan don’t have a chance against Benjy and Travis. Ivan’s just too young. Give him a bit of time to grow into his body a bit and he’ll be a much better partner. I can’t even fathom he and Donyelle as a partner. Or Natalie, who exudes too much sexuality for a kid. Allison or Heidi would work because they’re so darn cute. But Donyelle? Oh, crikey. She’d squash him like a bug. (Though, it would be entertaining to see what they could do.)

Ryan, on the other hand, dances beautifully but he’s missing the x factor. Unless he pulls something remarkable off, he’ll be out before the finals. Too bad because of all the men left, he’s the only one left with testosterone.

As far as the girls go, I agree that Natalie has started to bore me. Allison is cute as a button and has the versatility to pair off with any of the remaining men. And Heidi has really amazed me with her growth as a dancer. I wrote her off as a one trick wonder, but she’s done an amazing job in learning routines outside her comfort zone. I’m going to have to say that I think Natalie will go next, then Donyelle. Then we’ll be left with Heidi and Allison in the finals.
