Was she the one with the very cool “Big Band Era” look?
I was thinking the same thing, I think that’s the first time I’ve actually liked a musical guest for almost the entire show.
Wow. Lot of very, very strong dancing last night. I’m a convert to the Robert bandwagon – he’s grown on my tremendously over the last couple of weeks.
I would not be pissed if any of these three won. My guess is Kent in first, Robert in second, Lauren in third.
I just love Kent. I remember in Vegas when he danced contemporary on stage with Alex (I think?) and another older, more experienced dancer. He threw every ounce of his heart and soul into that routine and nailed it. I’ve been rooting for him ever since.
A final day poll for Dopers who watch the show.
Great dancing Tuesday. I honestly could not pick a favorite after it was done. They were all fantastic. Robert has really come from behind to win my respect. Personally surprised how much I liked Lauren a little bit over Kent last night.
Finale dances featured only final 3 except for a couple of routines. What was that all about? Those guys had to dance at least 8 routines in the last couple of days. Liked seeing Ellen, I really like her.
Not surprised at outcome. I know all 3 will do well.

The show last night was wonderful.
I voted for the first time this year on Wednesday night: Robert all the way and I voted from 10 to about 11. I’ve grown to really like the man with the arrogant sideburns.
I was happy for Lauren since she’s an amazing dancer and I enjoyed her celebration on stage.
I was thrilled to see Quest Crew. I love ABDC and they were amazing in that finale too.
I enjoyed Ellen’s dance last night. I enjoyed Lil’ whatever his name is dancing with Russell.
The tappers were amazing, and I don’t love tap. All 3!
I want Mary Murphy back for next season and I want Mia to go away.
I hope they go back to the old producer - the camera shots got on my nerves this year.
Smart move. 
I really enjoyed this season.
I, too, loved seeing Quest. Dominik is still my favorite dancer ever so I’m happy to have seen him again this season.
I was hoping we’d see that robot kid but they didn’t have him on there.
Didn’t really care for Ellen.
One thing I loved about this season was the exhibition 1st episode. I hate that if, for example, someone gets the quickstep the first show they could be gone after one dance. I at least want to see them in their element once.
I thought it was a great finale too. That little boy tap-dancer is crazy good.
Ellen doing Alex Wong’s choreography was pretty hilarious. God I hope he comes back. Just watching the old clips of him, it takes just a precious few seconds for him to establish himself as immediately superior. Like he begins and you’re just like, ‘‘Oh. That’s what dancing is.’’
Lauren won, and deserved to win. So overall I really enjoyed the Season, the contestants seemed like great, fun, people and I want all of them to succeed.
I was away last week and just got around to watching the finale. I know everyone’s pretty much said their piece but I feel like chiming in anyway. So there!
Really happy that Lauren won, but I guess any of them deserved it. Robert sort of irritates me a bit, but he’s handsome and a great dancer. Ellen’s piece cracked me up but it just made me want to see the original routine with Alex. The little kid tapper was great, but they should have put him on after the tap brothers, because they were b-o-r-i-n-g. Snore.
Loved Adam’s video package- he was sporting some totally 80’s looks in those pictures. I’d much rather have Mia there next season than Mary- the 30 seconds with her last night made me hate her all over again. If she’s a regular judge next year I might have to avoid the whole season.
OK, enough of my stream-of-consciousness ramblings.
Oh hell yeah. I’d much rather have made-up words and love-fests instead of incessant screaming and crying without any facial expressions.
Can’t we just go back to rotating the third judge? I’m not a fan of Mia either. She’s better than Mary, but still. Nigel, Adam and a rotating third judge. I like that.
Yeah, but then we get Tyce and the black guy, whasshisname, who ate a dictionary but didn’t actually digest it.
I’m torn honestly. Mary does get somewhat tiresome, BUT… there were so many ballroom routines this year where I said to myself, “I wish Mary were judging.” She screams a lot and all that, but when it comes to ballroom, she really knows her stuff. And I feel like I learn something from her.
Mia drives me crazy with her new words. I do like listening to her though for the same reason that I sometimes engage insane asylum patients in conversation. Just to hear someone that’s seeing this little old world in a totally different way than me. I honestly really missed Mia’s choreography this year (except for one or two opening numbers). I think she’s a better choreographer than a judge.
