“Automatic rifle!”
Something old, either:
Folks are Dumb Where I Come From by Dinah Shore, or
If I Knew You Were Comin I’d’ve Baked A Cake by Eileen Barton.
I had that as an alternative in my original post and deleted it. Good call.
I’M Deranged
David Bowie
**Nazareth **- Hair of the Dog
…now you’re messin’ with a son of a bitch…
I was going to suggest the Supersuckers’ How To Maximize Your Kill Count, but the live versions I was finding on youtube weren’t of sufficient quality. The studio version would have been postable, but I did not see it.
( I also feel that anything I could have thought of could not share the same room as Yakety Sax, anyway.)
“Never Let Me Down Again” - Depeche Mode
How Hollywood never capitalized on this, I’ll never know. This song was made for a very sick scene where the killer is going room to room and dropping empty clips as he goes…
The ‘best friend’ unfolds to the viewer as the gun in his hand with horrific interspersed slow motion moments; the two being momentary anti-heroes in the POV of a sick and twisted mind…
I was gonna say “Running Through the Jungle,” but now I’m envisioning a fast-motion montage of slasher-scenes . . .
I’m picturing you chasing the victims in circles but never quite catching them.
I misread this a ‘Bungle in the Jungle’, which immediately led me onward to a vision of a killing spree with ‘Jungle Love’ playing on an infinite loop. The guy who lived below my girlfriend’s room in the dorms in college played this song over and over, which must be why I associate it with insanity.
Somehow I can see the blood-soaked killer leering at the camera, while the line ‘everything’s better when wet’ plays.
Polly Wolly Doodle
It would depend on my mood at the time wether I use this version or this version.
I would like it to be Tusk by FM. That worked out real well in FX Network’s The Americans.
I was thinking Love Hurts by Nazareth might be nice
Under My Thumb by The Rolling Stones
Probably “Red Right Hand” by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, but maybe “Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies.
For me it would be** Radar Love **by Golden Earring if I was on a cross country killing spree.
If it was local, then probably **Space Lord **by Monster Magnet.
Ooo, Space Lord! I haven’t heard that song in a long time!
My choices: Either Lunatic Fringe for urban nuts, 99 Problems (the version by Hugo) for the masked woods Jason-crazy, or Metallica’s The Thing That Should Not Be (played with the San Fran Orchestra).
Or just Banana Phone for pure insanity.
