I bought these shoes today (I’m in desperate need of something low and casual, and these are actually a little funkier in person than they look).
I’m planning to wear them with jeans and casual pants. But I’m stuck on the socks issue - help?!?!

I’m thinking a low cut black sock … the “no-see-um” kind. Then there’d be nothing to detract from the shoes’ funkified glory.
Will the low cut kind look dorky when I sit down though?
(I have always been super tall and have a type of phobia about having exposed, naked ankles … socks give me a strange sense of security).
(Plus where does one find a low cut black sock? I have only seen white).

I have the really no show socks, and they are white. They are the bootie kind that cover your toes and a little more, and your heel. I bought them because I think it is tacky to see socks when wearing athletic shoes (sorry, but I do). They aren’t very thick so I wear 2 socks on each foot. These could be an option because even though they are white, no one will see them. A trouser sock wouldn’t look right because these shoes aren’t that dressy, and argyle or whatever wouln’t look right because of the coloring of the shoe.
Those shoes are cute, btw.
And a naked ankle is nothing to fear. Bad socks are.

The socks I own are like black sports socks if that makes any sense … they’re mostly cotton but thicker than dress socks. Any chance I can get away with those?
I have those toe sock things somewhere I think - I’ll have to have a hunt for them and see if they will do the trick.
I’d go for black trouser socks - the things like tights but they just go up to mid-calf or under-knee. Nice shoes!
