He has it out for law enforcement because certain LEO’s are not enforcing the law, and also breaking it at the same time. I praise Al Sharpton for this. He has his publicity issues, but if he can wage a nonviolent protest against those LEO’s that have abused the law, then that is a good thing, and nothing less. LEO’s like the accused, and like those officers in NY that spit 50 bullets at Sean Bell, need to be publicly fucked with and humiliated to the greatest extent possible.

If you are dealing with the dregs of society on a daily basis for any extended period of time, surely unless you are an extraordinary person, you are going to get jaded at some point, to say the least? It seems to me that most cops are that used to dealing with scum, they treat everyone as potential scum unless they have good reason to believe differently. Perhaps after every 5 years on the streets they should have to serve a year in a more relaxed environment, to get them back in touch with their humanity?
And yet, I’m not jaded. And neither are the people I work with.
I think only idealistic people tend to get jaded.

It’s much harder to prove that this was done, that’s what.
If the cop just takes his nightstick and whacks the kid, it’s likely to leave bruises obvious to anyone. This doesn’t leave obvious traces. Or at least, it doesn’t if done right. This guy was too rough, causing actual anal tears, thus leaving obvious evidence for a doctor to find. Bad cop! Dumb cop!
Most big city police departments have their favorite ‘unofficial’ interrogation methods, passed down by old timers to the new cops.
In Chicago, the favorite used to be holding a Chicago phone book against the back or side of the suspects head, then whacking the phone book with the nightstick. Definite effect on the suspect, but doesn’t leave any mark from the nightstick.

I have to ask you though – how does one insert something like a nightstick into anyone’s rectum, without using lube and going slow – and not causing trauma? Remember, there’s on a public train platform here, not weekending romantically at a B&B in New Hampshire. And, remember, you’re talking to a gay man here.
