Sparks brought home a couple of jars of adobo sauce, the last time he hit a specialty grocery store. Today I was making a rice/corn/bean salad for lunch and happily popped it open, intending to drop a couple spoonfuls into the mix.
Um… except it turned out to be solid. I had to scrape it out of the jar with a spoon.
My best idea was to soak it in water, to try to loosen it into a real sauce. Can somebody tell me what I was actually supposed to do?
The bottom half is probably completely oil. However I have not yet figured out a way to mix them into a paste in the tiny little jar, without spilling so much solids, that the proportion is never correct again.
