Solo versions of board games

Have any Dopers come up with good versions of games like Scrabble/Monopoly (or any other similar game really) that you can play by yourself?

I ask because no member of my family will play these games with me anymore, because I always win. (Yeah, it sounds like I’m showing, but that’s their reason! I think they’re just not trying very hard:dubious: )

I’ve tried just playing with basic rules and ignoring the fact that there are no other players, but that really doesn’t work. And trying to play Monopoly or Chess against yourself just results in an entirely even match that is virtually unwinnable (that is SO not a word! I think.:confused: ) unless you decide to start showing a little bias.

So, has anyone come up with any good, fun solo versions of popular board games?

I play solo Scrabble sometimes, playing two players at once. I’ll draw two sets of letters, and take turns switching between them. An interesting twist on the game is that since I know what letters both my players have, I can use one to purposely set up a good opportunity for the other one. I keep only one total score, though, with the goal being to beat my record (217).
