You would be AMAZED at how many sock puppeteers follow a pattern in picking their names. Back before we could easily trace IPs, or trace IPs at all, this was one way that we could get evidence that someone was a sock.

Also I think some people just aren’t very imaginative with user names and have a hard time avoiding patterns.

Indeed, it is what I admitted to. I’m pretty sure all of us have done so at one time or another. It was obviously a rhetorical question, as I’m pretty sure Anonymous User read the entire thread. (And I’m also pretty sure that he did not originally post a rant.)
It seems that everyone else who responded has figured out that that post was not as straightforward as it seems at first glance. You might want to go back and look at it: I made at least four different points, none of them being the one you think I made.
Anyways, now I’m doing exactly what I was trying to avoid, making this thread about me. This is my third post defending myself. And, darn it, Cashew Solo (or whatever he’s going by this week) deserves this Pit thread all to himself.
Goddammit, so Anonymous User, BigT, and the lone cashew are making this thread all about them, and it still may or may not be all about solosam. I give up.
