Solosam, you are a lazy liar

Reading is important.

Ok, the rest of the thread has been bizarre and I have no fondness whatsoever for masculinist ideologies, but I dislike this line of reasoning. There are still issues of knowledge and performance errors relating to correct contraceptive use that could result in an unwanted child and the father would be required to provide for it for the remainder of the child’s life. Hardly anyone suggests that a mother be subjected to that in cases of failed contraceptives.

Ok, just read page 3 and justified my original suspicion. A flame war started between the unbalanced guy and the snide crowd and now the snide crowd are congratulating themselves on their brilliance. Sorry to disturb.

Buddy, you have one less choice than women do, but you still have choices. Birth control, for starters. Sterilization. Abstinence is another valid method of preventing unwanted pregnancy. The comparatively small cost of a condom, a vasectomy, or a trustworthy partner who uses birth control beats an 18-year sentence with two human beings you despise and resent.

Put down the MRA drum and recognize that the inability to have a monthly cycle and experience the trauma of pregnancy and birth is not something for you to envy.

That’s why it’s important to restrict one’s sexual activities to trustworthy partners with whom these matters have been hashed out and agreed upon beforehand. Your inability to get pregnant and carry a child to term is not a handicap. It’s a perk. Revel in it.

You should try it occasionally.

I think we just went over that in the other thread. The part where you said “I didn’t say that” and then I quoted all the places where you said those things, and you responded with “I did say that”.

This post is best read in either a LeVar Burton Reading Rainbow voice, or a Mr. Rogers voice.

He’d better be claiming a lot more posts than just that one aren’t his, if he wants it to be at all plausible. Look at the time stamps of the ones before and after it.

He’s changed his story enough times now that I don’t think there is a version that will stand up to the slightest scrutiny. The timeline as best I can tell is:

  1. lone cashew accidentally answers a question asked of Solosam in a thread about women expecting princess treatment.

  2. In post #40 of this thread, lone cashew claims he was just using “nonsense humor” to defend Solosam from the SDMB meanies trying to pick a fight for no reason. The smoking gun here is the reference to suspicions of sockhood as bizarre conspiracy theories: someone innocent would recognize that the response looked an awful lot like a mixup between multiple user accounts.

  3. He then hurls insults at Diosa and ladyfoxfyre for a while, culminating in post #111 where he yells some incoherent gibberish at splatterpunk, presumably to set himself up for…

  4. Post #128 where he claims he did not post #111, but had his password stolen. He then starts an ATMB thread where he claims to have left himself logged onto a computer and someone else posted as him. I’m guessing he switched from the “my password was stolen” story to “someone used the same computer as me” because he realized the IP addresses were going to contradict his claim.

None of these posts make sense coming from someone who doesn’t have a sock. They all make sense coming from someone who fucked up and outed his sock and is now scrambling for an alibi.

It’s the IP addresses that really have him boned. If he and Solosam share IP addresses, his confirmation of being lone cashew when he answered in Solosam’s place would give lie to now claiming Solosam is his spouse/roommate/fellow homeless person at the library and answered the question under his account accidentally. Even if they don’t, I’ll bet almost anything that Solosam’s IPs are either from a proxy or from the same geographical location as lone cashew. I would enjoy hearing lone cashew commit to an explanation of which posts he made and what computer he thinks someone else was able to post as him for a brief period and who he thinks might have done it. I’m guessing he’s really not going to want to provide specifics, since he doesn’t know what the mods know vis-a-vis his IP info, but it will be fun to watch him tap dance.

It seems to me that he’s between a rock and a hard place. Hacked by a nefarious netizen of the darker shores of the dope community explains the content of his posts. Someone else using his computer after he forgot to log out will explain ISP data. The two together, however are much less likely in my opinion.

Giraffe’s summation is pretty much spot-on, but I’d add to the evidence the similarity in their user names (“lone” and “solo”).

At first I read that as “between a sock and a hard place.” at myself

It’s an incredibly bizarre claim. the lone cashew was quick to blame a hack in this thread and the ATMB thread but hasn’t been in a big hurry to explain what happened or deal with it beyond maybe changing his password.

This never made sense to me. If I were gonna have a sock, why would I name it, “Sheba, Crouching” or something. I mean, what kind of glutton for punishment puts out little hints that they are socking?

Marley23, since you are an administrator, you can check IP addresses, right? If so, then wouldn’t that be the best way to see if solosam is indeed a sock made by the lone cashew?

Dude, Marley knows a thing or two about sock-hunting. Relax.

I know he does; he’s an administrator. That’s why I am asking him.

ETA: Actually, I can see how my last post may come off as condescending, but I didn’t mean it that way at all. I respect Marley23 as an administrator.

Let’s just hope nobody looks into ASteampunkLemon.

Ooh! Or a ACoalFiredBanana! Cleopatra, Perched!
