I have nothing against the poster CalMeacham, but this thread reveals that there are apparently at least three different people using his screen name here - “Pepper Mill” and “Millical,” as well as, presumably, “Cal Meacham.” It’s incredibly unfair that this is accepted on a board where socks are so mercilessly hunted and banned without any consideration for their circumstances. An extra, and possibly illegal anecdote is that one of these users, “MilliCal,” is too young to be a member of this board but is circumventing the rule by sharing this screen name.
As seen with a recent sock banning, stuff like this simply isn’t allowed here. CalMeacham being an aggregate screen name that multiple people freely use is no different than another poster having two or three different sock accounts that they freely switch between.
If I had to guess, I would say there’s a gray line here. **Cal **is clearly stating his daughter is typing under his username. If it bothers you, report it.
I’m not sure what the problem is. Pepper Mill is a registered username (she last posted under her own name in 2001), and Millical is their child and is too young to join in her own right. Ivylass has used Ivylad, Ivyboy etc in the past. Other posters have similar references. I’ve seen a fair few posts where it’s been the spouse of the Doper that’s posting, but always, as in this case, clearly flagged. And I think that’s the difference: it’s clearly marked. And it’s not common.
Because I searched “Pepper Mill” and all I saw were references in his posts to someone with that name also using the Meacham name. “Pepper mill, here…” and so on.
If this is how it’s going to be, then I’m going to go schizophrenic and have TLDR be one person who posts long shit, IDK be another who’s an idiot and never knows the answer, JKLOL to only post in MPSIMS, and FTW will be the real me.
So what happens when Airman or MsRobyn accidentally post under each other’s user name because one or the other forgot to log out? Is that sock puppetry too?
It’s the intent that we have to look at here. There is no attempt to deceive. Again, IANAM, so not my call.
