Cliff Notes version for those playing at home: Out of the hundreds of JPGs in my morgue file named “self portrait” I inadvertently loaded the wrong one to Arnold’s gallery. It was pointed out, I contacted Arnold and apologized and told him I’d send the right one later. As far as I know he was cool with everything. Not so with lone cashew. He started a PM/email campaign calling me all sorts of nasty things and took the occasional pot shot here and there on the board.
Worse though, he went into my Flicker account and accused me of claiming that I claimed every shot of every female was me (ridiculous since they were all different women). I never made any such claims and took down the pics to protect the models. Since it’s all been deleted he’s expanded his claims, I guess he figures it’s his word against mine. He also in-listed Starving Artist who joined him in his PMing and occasional potshots on this board.
I’ll leave it to members to make up their own mind about whether I uploaded the wrong pic by mistake or not (bear in mind though, I’ve never boasted about being young or pretty with my words on the boards).
BUT cashew’s perverse preoccupation with me and this episode is not up for debate. His words are here for all to see. What this old news has to do with this thread is beyond me. He’s a douche and his version is bullshit.

Anyway, this is not at all surprising, based on the messages I’ve received from other girls on the board since this thread started, as I mentioned however far back. Apparently, this is cashew’s MO: he either harasses woman Dopers via PM, or tries to make awkward and frankly creepy sexual advances toward them. Even since this thread started, he’s PM’ed chicks participating completely unsolicited.
Not that I’m telling you all what to do, but I’d highly suggest that if he— or anyone, for that matter-- PMs you threats or even just requests to fly out and pork you, that you forward that PM off to a mod. Something weird is happening here and, at best, this guy is a total creeper.

I actually don’t think so, given that he brought it up himself-- even name dropping one of the people he PMed.
I’m not sure I was clear - it’s not necessarily that other people are saying he PMed them or that he’s admitted to doing it. To me it’s that he’s sent out these sorts of PMs in general. Who sends those sorts of PMs? that’s what I was getting at.
All the PMs I have in my inbox are boring…But then, I’m probably boring…so there you go.
