Some movies are so bad, they are fun

I was skeptical but I watched Peewees Big Adventure.
I thought for sure this would be the worst movie ever.
Turns out I laughed like a kid.
Rubin’s has good voice manipulation and can act.
He uses his body in hilarious ways. Classic humor.

I was surprised I enjoyed it so much.

I also love the Mr. Moto films. Of course, Peter Lorre is a step or two above Warner Oland.

“Is this something you’d like to share with the rest of us, Amazing Larry??”

I quit listening to Siskel and Ebert when they panned it. Siskel in particular came across as a typical Liberal-intellectual jerk with absolutely no sense of humor.

I felt the same way as you did above when it came to Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I thought it would be another dumb teen-oriented movie, and I saw it only because I got to the cinema too late to see the film I had planned on and didn’t want to turn around and go home.

I hadn’t laughed so hard at a movie since the first Naked Gun came out.

What might have been…

Can you imagine a universe without all the dreck since ESB, but filled with good Zelazny movies? Doorways In the Sand? Lord of Light?

But then again, we’d also probably get every fucking Amber book as a trilogy.

Better left as is, I think.

“Littering, and?… Littering, and?...”

“Hey, Farva! What’s the name of that place with all the goofy shit on the walls?”

Dumb and Dumberer!

I couldnt stand that movie- I hate films 0r shows making fun of mentally handicapped people.

Hey, they were capable of holding down jobs and allowed to drive motor vehicles. Ergo, they were of average intelligence.

I think you mean Dumb and Dumber. There’s no such word as “dumberer.”

You mean Shenanigans?

That’s one of my favorites.

I thought they were whooshing me. Bob Saget was awesome in this.

Krull

On a distant planet, a princess is kidnapped by orc/stormtroopers. A prince, a wizard and a cyclops must get her back.

I really enjoy How Did This Get Made? with Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas and June Diane Rafael as my go-to “funny people talk about bad movies” podcast.

Sorry, I forgot there was a sequel. Just never got around to seeing it, I guess.

My wife sometimes forgets that she is not a space alien.

Liam Neeson’s debut!

Have you ever seen anyone give up their guns so fast?

Now, Voyager!
