Some stupid questions about the human body

Maybe you’re looking at the threads of a banana you ate.

This is a bit tricky as drugstore peroxide is very weak, 3% solution in water. IIRC hair bleach is at least twice that.

Unfortunately I don’t have a cite but I recall reading of a death from ingesting concentrated H[sub]2[/sub]O[sub]2[/sub]. An elderly couple had bought into a quack therapy that used very concentrated peroxide. They kept it in a jug in the refrigerator that looked no different that what milk or drinking water is sold in. Apparently an adult son drank a glass of it before realizing it wasn’t water. I don’t recall the specifics of his death but I’m sure it was due to the reactivity and strong bacitity* of the peroxide. It was probably the equivalent of drinking lye.

The scoop on poop

What if you didn’t eat any bananas?

No description??? I call bullshit! Give it up, man!

Not sure what beet juice would do to poop, but it colours pee red. Honest.

Beet pigmentation is so intense, it colors both #1 and #2, and if there was a #3,it would color that too!

Hmm, come to think of it, that gives a new meaning to “Red Dye Number 2.”

Yay! I can answer the dream one, since i have this problem all the time.

When you fall asleep, there is a sort of switch - I can’t remember the name right now - that turns off. This switch is the direct conscious control you have over your body. This is why you experience that “falling” sensation when you fall asleep.

When you wake up, the switch is supposed to go on automatically. I’m not sure if some people have a defective switch or they just somehow train themselves differently. My problem is, I have been fully awake, and I think I am doing things but not. I honestly think I’m calling out, or moving, and when I finally awake fully (the switch turns on) no one’s heard anything. It’s really freaky, and I have visions during this time…like dreams, only even the mildest thing is completely scary because somewhere I know I have no control.

It’s this switch not fully turned on that causes you to move or scream in your sleep, because your dream is so vivid you think it’s real and your subconscious directly controls your limbs.
